As part of our commitment to bridge the knowledge and skills gap of our clients and train their workforce to drive their digital transformation journey, we launched our first certified digital qualification in November 2020 in partnership with Certnexus: Certified Artificial Intelligence Practitioner (CAIP) qualification. Designed by PwC’s digital and education experts with decades of industry experience from across PwC’s network, and accredited by Certnexus, this course incorporated global best practices to meet the needs and demands of the future workforce.
We asked some of our participants about their experience and how the course helped them in their current roles. Here's what they had to say:
Chadi Omeira
"I am a technology professional who loves to innovate and solve problems using technology. I work as a Senior Associate at PwC Middle East with an emerging technology team, where we solve important problems and reimagine the possible with the latest technologies."
What is the impact of the accelerated growth of AI in your role and at PwC?
"AI has disrupted all industrial sectors by empowering machines with learning capabilities that we can leverage heavily from. It is therefore very critical to my role as a technologist to be aware and ready to implement AI solutions for our clients."
What motivated you to take on the CAIP qualification?
"I have been looking for a comprehensive approach to learn, gain practical experience and leverage our tech solutions with AI. The Certified Artificial Intelligence Programme covered all those areas for me and has equipped me with the tools I need to adapt to the digital workspace."
Any practical takeaways from this certification?
"AI is the future and is fast becoming a necessity for companies not just to thrive, but to survive. AI is not a technology that you can just buy and deploy, it is a technology that you need to develop, train and continuously re-train to maintain its success and effectiveness."
"Companies should exploit this new technology wisely and use AI to empower their processes, products and services in a way that helps them thrive in the changing industrial market. Ruchi Batra I am a Manager in the Financial Services practice of PwC Middle East. I look after IFRS 9 and credit risk modelling across various clients, majorly across different banks in the region."
What is the impact of the accelerated growth of AI in your role and at PwC?
"Our aim is to provide solutions to clients that add value and support their businesses. Our primary role involves the modelling of datasets (which also includes behavioral modelling). AI is the future for all our solutions since these models learn from historical data and become more accurate and helpful in predicting the future. This is particularly true for some models such as time series modelling."
What motivated you to take on the CAIP qualification?
"I wanted to understand how Machine Learning and AI can help us in developing robust statistical solutions based on current and past data to make better predictions and projections for future plans and help our clients sustain and expand their businesses."
Any practical takeaways from this certification?
"I learned a lot of statistical techniques that can be applied while developing complex models/solutions for our clients. Apart from this, I gained knowledge about additional programming languages which helped make our work more efficient, and our solutions more effective."
