What motivated you to do a dual qualification?
My greatest influence was my sister, who was a CFA student at PwC’s Academy. While I was in high school I was so fascinated by the content of her books that I chose to join the ACCA programme, since at that time I was too young to go straight into CFA!
During my ACCA adventure, I attended a CFA seminar at PwC’s Academy and further fell in love with the subject; and realised that CFA was precisely what I wanted to achieve in life.

My life was transformed after attending this seminar. I discovered my passion and determination to begin his path through the CFA program. Furthermore, the fact that my sister had a positive experience with her mentors at PwC's Academy, it further reinforced my decision to pursue it.
How did you manage to complete the programme at such a young age?
My ACCA journey helped build the fundamentals that helped me move along my CFA journey, but I was still quite daunted by this transition. I was scared by the program's overall pass rate and the fact that I was the youngest person in the class. But I have always believed in following my aspirations and passions, and quitting the CFA program was not an option for me.
“From the beginning I knew that I had to put in the hours, be dedicated and study a lot! I don’t think I could have done it without the guidance and support of the tutors. They helped the entire class to stay motivated and on track.”
What words of advice would you give students who want to join the ACCA and CFA programme?
I can attest to the importance of staying focused and trusting your trainers after overcoming one of my life's most difficult obstacles. You need to be focused and give 100% to the entire programme. It is vital to take time for yourself and have fun, as long as you manage your time well, the program does not have to be a burden but rather a pleasant and yet challenging experience.
What is the highlight of your experience?
The entire journey was a highlight for me! From the books to the tutors to meeting my peers from all backgrounds, I had a great time. The late-night study sessions with the instructors, guidance and encouragement pushed me and everyone to keep going and not give up. I can honestly say that we all became a big family.
What is next for you?
My next goal is to enter the stock market. I am confident everything I learnt in the CFA program will assist me in entering and succeeding in the financial sector.
