RAS AL KHAIMAH, 10th July, 2024 (WAM) -- As part of Ras Al Khaimah Government’s commitment to support the education, development and competitiveness of Emirati talent to meet the highest international standards, the Department of Human Resources (DHR) and the Investment and Development Office (IDO) celebrated the next batch of graduates from the “Etimad” Programme, which was implemented in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Academy and aims to prepare, qualify, empower, and upskill Emirati professionals to enable them to compete at a global level.
A total of 24 participants across the Etimad programme groups were facilitated for their achievement in obtaining either the Foundation Diploma or the Advanced Diploma, respectively, in Accounting and Business.
The Advanced Diploma holders are now qualified for the final phase of the ACCA journey, on the path to become certified ACCA members and work as licensed auditors in 170 countries around the world.
Dr. Mohamed Abdullatif Khalifa, Director-General of the DHR, said, "We are proud to celebrate the successful graduates from the ‘Etimad’ Programme for empowering Emirati talent in partnership with the IDO. This programme reflects the commitment of Ras Al Khaimah’s Government to upskilling UAE talent and equipping them with the knowledge and skills that enable them to compete on an international level.”

We believe that this initiative will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Ras Al Khaimah’s talent and support the UAE’s comprehensive development journey, and we congratulate all graduates and wish them continued success in their respective careers," he added.
Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, Managing Director and Board Member of the IDO, said that ‘Etimad’ Programme is a confident step towards achieving RAK Government’s ambitious vision for a bright, sustainable future, as it significantly contributes to developing the skills of Emiratis, enhancing their competitiveness in the global market, and strengthening and improving the accounting and financial systems in the Emirate.
The ‘Etimad’ Programme aims to enhance the competitiveness of talent in the UAE job market, raising the efficiency of government employees, adopting the best international standards in various work areas, and enabling young professionals to strengthen their academic knowledge and obtain prestigious certificates from specialised international associations and organisations.
